The Spoken Word International

As a dedicated wordsmith and literary craftsman, Yolanda is committed to helping others develop strong communication skills that can be used to advance the Kingdom of God in 21^st century society. Each quarter workshops of all shapes and sizes are hosted by The Spoken Word International throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and around the country.

In 1999, Yolanda was awarded the Todd Houser Scholarship to attend a summer institute at Marywood University in Scranton, PA entitled, ‘Vocal Pedagogy: The Speaking Voice.’ She is in demand as a faculty member at several Christian writing conferences and forums around the country and is a member of the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association (AWSA).

Her workshops are divided between speakers and writers (with the two often being combined) and are further delineated into three areas of training: beginner, intermediate and advanced.
